Street’s MRI calms Rockies worst fears
The Colorado Rockies got back closer Houston Street’s MRI, and they couldn’t be happier with the results.
The MRI showed that Street does not have any structural damage in his right shoulder despite all of the discomfort he has deal with in spring training.
Street, who hasn’t pitched yet in a spring training game, threw 25 pitches in a side session the other day and said that his shoulder is feeling great.
The closer will likely miss the start of the season because of the inflammation in his shoulder, but the Rockies were concerned he could miss much more than a couple of games.
In fact, the Rockies were so encouraged by the MRI and Street’s side session that they have stopped short of ruling him out for Opening Day.
